New Update as on 3rd May : Latest Update on 3rd May : ICAI CA Exam 2019 dates changed for Paper 3 of CA Foundation Examination and Paper 4 and 5 of CA Final Examination. The ICAI in a notification issued on Friday by B Muralidharan, Joint Secretary (Exams), the CA Foundation exam (paper 3- Business Mathematics and Statistic) will now be held on 13 June. Similarly, the final exams for paper 4 and paper 5, based on both old and new scheme, will be held on 4 and 13 June, respectively, it said in a notification on the website.
As we were expecting, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the upcoming May 2019 examination, thanks to upcoming Loksabha election 2019 (announced by election commission of India on Sunday). This announcement has given the huge relief to the CA students as CA exams was clashing with the election’s dates. Earlier there were some rumors that only clashing dates would be changed but ICAI put every rumor on hold after rescheduling complete examination which is a very welcome move. Students do get distracted by election campaign and its furore, it really affects their study and output. CA exams on May 6 and 12 were clashing with the election dates but ICAI took the note of the students appeal to reschedule the CA exams. Earlier exams were scheduled from 02nd May to 17th May but as per new dates now exams will be held from 27th May to 12th June 2019. It has given enough time to the students to overcome the election fever. Chartered Accountancy has become one of the highest respected profession in last 5 decades and ICAI conducts examination every six months (May and December) for Foundation, Intermediate and Final course. Over 1 Lakh students will appear and will test their hard work and luck to crack one of the toughest exams on this planet. Member’s examination will also be held on 04th & 7th of June.

Exam Timings for the CA exams is from 2.00 PM to 5:00 PM for all, except for Paper 6C “International Taxation” in which the duration of paper will be 4 hours i.e. 2 PM to 6 PM.
Official notice of ICAI says “It is hereby notified for general information that in view of Elections to the 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies across the country, the Chartered Accountant Examinations initially scheduled from 2nd May 2019 to 17thMay 2019 stand rescheduled and the said examinations shall now be held from 27thMay 2019 to 12thJune, 2019”.
