Government of India is finally easing up the norms of Lockdown in Lockdown 4 and trying to bring country’s economic situation back on the track and in that order they have taken one more step.
Hardeep Singh Puri, Aviation Minister in his tweet on Wednesday stated that “Domestic Civil Avaiation operations will recommence in a calibrated manner from Monday (May 25). Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) for passenger movement are also being separately issued by the aviation ministry.”
Domestic Flights will start from 25th May 2020 the bookings for which have started today i.e 21st May 2020. International flights will still not be resumed.
Passengers have to report at the airport two hours before the flight time. There will be thermal screening of all the passengers during the arrival/departure. Passengers need to wear mask through out the journey and will be allowed to carry about 350ml of liquid hand sanitizer on board. Luggage may limited to one bag per passenger.
Passengers will also be given a questionnaire where they will have to tell about their past history about travel/ illness/COVID-19 or Quarantine in last one month. Those who had undergone quarantine might be sent for security checks.
Cabin crew will wear mask and gloves/ protection suits to avoid the spreading of Virus.
