Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has declared the result for KCET 2020 soon on its official website. CN Ashwathnarayan, Deputy Chief Minister in a press conference released the result on 21st August 2020 at 12:30pm. Earlier the result was supposed to be released yesterday i.e. 20th August 2020 but was no due to some technical issues.

Candidates who have appeared for KCET Examinations 2020 can download their results from the official website of KCET i.e. kea.kar.nic.in

EXAMINATION THIS YEAR:

KCET 2020 examination was conducted on 30th and 31st July 2020. Around 90.23% of the enrolled candidates appeared for the KCET Physics examination, while 79.9% appeared for the KCET Biology examination, 90.10% appeared for the KCET Chemistry examination and 91.92% appeared for the KCET Mathematics examination.

COVID CASES:

On the first day of examination around 63 students were found COVID positive while 57 students were found positive who had to appear for the Mathematics examination and 49 students were found positive who had to appear for the Biology examination.

FEES AND SEAT MATRIX:

CN Ashwathnarayan, Deputy Chief Minister announced that there will be no fee hike due to the ongoing pandemic and floods in the state. The seat-sharing Ratio will also be the same as last year. There will be no change.

COUNSELLING:

After the result declaration, the counseling is said to be conducted online by the end of October 2020. There will be two rounds of counseling and one round of extended counseling. Seat blocking will not be accepted and transparency shall be maintained.

RESULT THIS YEAR:

Around 1.27 lakh students cleared the agriculture examination, 1.29 lakh students cleared the veterinary exam, 1.29 lakh students cleared the AYUSH subject while 1.55 lakh students cleared the Pharma Examination and 1.53 lakh students cleared the engineering examination.

Total 80 students scored full marks in biology and 3 students scored full marks in Chemistry. None of the student scored full marks in Physics and Math.

WHAT NEXT:

All the qualified candidates will now appear for the document verification which will be conducted digitally from 2nd September onwards.

On 2nd and 3rd September candidates of rank upto 2000 will be allowed for the verification while from 4th to 7th September 2020 candidates upto rank 7000 will have to appear for the document verification and in this way the document verification process shall continue till 27th September until all ranks are covered. Students will be notified about their dates in the due course of time.

  2. On the home page, click on the link “Result-KCET 2020” under Flash news.
  3. A new page will open, fill in the required credentials.
  4. Your KCET Examinations 2020 result will appear on your screen.
  5. Download and take the print out for future reference.
