The Indian Railways will start online bookings for 200 trains (100 Pairs) which will resume its services from 1st June 2020. These trains will run between major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Patna, Jaipur, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Secundrabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.
The E-ticket bookings for these trains will begin on 21st May 2020 at 10 am. One can book tickets from the official website of IRCTC, the link for which is provided below:
Due to lockdown, all the routes were shut down to avoid the spreading of Coronavirus. But now after nearly 2 months after the lockdown, the trains services will be resumed.
- 34 trains will start from four stations of Delhi except for Old Delhi Railway Station.
- Around 12 trains will run from Mumbai stations.
- 11 trains from Howrah and Sealdah.
- 24 trains will originate/terminate in Bihar.
- 16 trains will originate/terminate in Uttar Pradesh.
- There are 22 Janshatabdi trains.

These trains will include AC and Non-AC coaches both. There will be no unreserved coach on the train.
Some special trains will also run in pattern such as the Purushottam Express, Brahmaputra Mail and Sampoorn Kranti Express which will run on their pre-lockdown timings and will have the same stoppages as before.
On arrival at their destination, the travelling passengers will have to adhere to such health protocols as are prescribed by the destination state/UT.
The fare will be as normal and for General (GS) coaches, being reserved, second seating (2S) fare shall be charged and seats will be provided to all the passengers. Passengers should have a valid and confirmed e-ticket Registration/Booking to enter the railway stations. Ticket Booking counters will remain closed to avoid contamination.
All passengers have to wear face masks/face covers during the travel. To avoid the risk of contamination/infection, passengers have to carry their own food, blanket, and bedsheets.ARP(Advance Reservation Period) shall be maximum of 30 days. Other regular passenger services including all mail/express, passenger and suburban services will remain canceled until further advice.
