Tamil Nadu Board has released results for Class 12th Public Exam 2020 on its official website soon. Candidates who have appeared for the Tamil Nadu Board Class 12th Public Exam 2020 can download their result from the official website of Tamil Nadu Board i.e. tnresults.nic.in once released.
Earlier it was announced by the board officials that the Result for Class 12th will be released on 7th July 2020 between 5 pm-5:30 pm but was not due to some technical issues.
More than 40,000 teachers evaluated around 50 lakh answer sheets across 200 centers. Tamil Nadu State Board Exam was conducted from 2nd March 2020 to 24th March 2020. The result for the same was scheduled on 24th April 2020.
RESULT THIS YEAR:
Around 7.5 lakh students appeared for the examination aout of which only about 7.2 lakh students cleared. The overall pass percentage is 92.34%
Tiruppur district topped with 97.12% result, while Erode district stood second with 96.66% and third was Coimbatore with 96.39%
RESULT DELAYED
As we all know the exams are usually conducted in the month of March- April every year. This year due to increasing COVID Cases and National Lockdown the exams were postponed in order to avoid contamination.
Later it was decided to conduct the pending examination in the month of June 2020 but due to the COVID pandemic in the state, Board decided to cancel the examinations and release the result on merit basis.
Due to lockdown the evaluation process was put on hold and was again started in the 2nd week of May 2020.
Earlier, K.A Sengottaiyan, School Education and Sports Minister stated, “The Plus-two exam results will most likely be released in the first week of July as the evaluation of answer sheets is nearing completion.”

- Visit the official website @ tnresults.nic.in
- On the home page, click on “Class 12th Public Exam result”
- A new page will open, fill in the required credentials of course.
- Your Tamil Nadu Board Class 12th Public Exam 2020 result will appear on your screen.
- Download and take a print out of the result for future reference.
VERIFICATION:
Students can also apply for verification if they want to if they expect more marks. In this only, the totaling of the marks would be done again.
For the same, the candidate has to submit a form to Departmental Secretary, Tamil Nadu Board along with the verification fee per subject.
RE-EVALUATION:
Students can apply for the re-evaluation where the answer sheets will be checked again, which may result in an increase or decrease of marks.
For the same students have to submit the re-evaluation form to the Departmental Secretary, Tamil Nadu Board along with the nominal fee per subject.
