Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (TNDTE) will announce the TNEA Rank List 2019 today 20 June 2019 on its official website shortly. The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) Rank List 2019 was scheduled to be released on 17th June but due to some technical reasons the same was delayed. Students who appeared for the TNEA examination can check their TNEA Rank List 2019 on the official website of TNDTE @ tneaonline.in. Candidates who are seeking admission to B.Tech / undergraduate engineering programmes will be able to check the status of admission application soon through TNEA Rank List 2019. This year, TNDGE is given the responsibility to release the Engineering Admissions Merit List 2019 earlier it was ANNA University who used to release the result. This year, 1,33,166 students have registered for the TNEA after clearing their class 12th examinations. And out of them 1,04,418 candidates participated in the document verification process. Students can check their result on the alternative website @ tneaonline.in.
Steps to check TNEA Rank List 2019:
K. P. Anbalagan, Higher Education Minister announced the delay in the release of Engineering Admission List 2019 formally and clarified that the delay was caused due to extension in the verification process by a day. TNDTE had issued extension in the deadline for Application / Document Verification Process. However, now, with all the formalities completed, the TN Engineering Admission Merit List 2019 will be declared today i.e. on 20th June 2019 – Thursday.
The Rank List will contain the names and ranks secured by candidates who appeared for the examination and are willing to become engineers. On the basis of the merit list students will take admission to different engineering colleges based in Tamil Nadu. Candidates can apply for engineering admissions and freeze the seats allocated to them by paying the requisite fees after the release of TNEA Rank List. Initially, candidates will be required to pay only a deposit to exercise the choice of institute and branches, as per their TNEA Rank and Cutoffs announced by engineering colleges.
Counselling, which was originally scheduled to begin on Thursday, will start from 25th June. Differently-abled candidates will be called first. Counselling for wards of ex-servicemen will be held on 26th June and for sports persons on 27th June. Counselling for vocational stream will commence from June 26 to and end on 28 at the Central Polytechnic College in Taramani,Chennai. Counselling for general category candidates will be held from 3rd July to 28 July 2019.
